Nose: Honey, dried fruits, vanilla. The lower in the mash is definitely present on the nose. Palate: Soft and creamy. Notes of caramel and vanilla. The back of the palate has some spice. Finish: Sweet and rich with a long finish.Review: This is a bourbon connoisseur must have. The Russell’s Reserve single barrel is amongst the best out there.

Nose: Dark chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon. Oakiness from the double wood gives a nice warm feeling. Palate: Very much like the nose. Dark chocolate notes are not as intense, with more milk chocolate taste coming through. Rich mouthfeel. Finish: Dry oaky finish. Typical of a double wood. Review: The Woodford Double Oaked is not overly oaky and spicy as one would expect from a double wood. Rich and warm makes for a great after-dinner drink or a nightcap.
